Dr. Joshua Jenkins, DMD

Dr. Joshua Jenkins was born and raised in Columbus, GA. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Kennesaw State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After college, Dr. Jenkins moved to Birmingham, AL, where he attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2013. He moved back to the metro Atlanta area in 2016 after practicing dentistry for 3 years just outside of Auburn, AL.

Dr. Jenkins is committed to lifelong professional development through continuing education. He regularly attends continuing education courses in all areas of dentistry to stay up to date on the latest methods and materials, as the field of dentistry is always evolving with new advancements. He enjoys developing relationships with his patients and takes great pride in helping them to achieve their goals for lifelong dental health. He is a member of the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

In his free time, Dr. Jenkins enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, jogging, reading, attending baseball and football games, and walking his dog, Scarlett.

Dr. Tina Herington, DMD

Master, Academy of General Dentistry

Born in Decatur, Dr. Tina Herington is a Georgia native. She received her Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Highest Honor from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2001.  She purchased this practice from Dr. Rowe in 2016.  She is not here practicing every day but is always involved at the leadership level.

Dr. Herington became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2008, and a Master in the Academy in June 2014.  The Mastership program required 5 years to complete and required peer-reviewed case presentations in all areas of dentistry.  Fewer than 1% of dentists ever achieve Mastership in the AGD!  Dr. Herington has also served as the Treasurer and Editor for the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry and a delegate to the national AGD meeting.

Dr. Herington also has earned a Commercial Pilot Certificate, Flight Instructor Certificate, and has been a part-time flight instructor since 1996. She is a member of the Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2007-08, and participates in the Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures Campaign to raise money to support the fight against breast cancer.

In her spare time, she enjoys aviation, Taekwondo, reading, and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
