Dr. Vesper, DMD

Dr. Vesper has lived in Georgia for over 20 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating with highest honors. During her time at Georgia Tech, she gained the opportunity to research dental therapies and present her research at the American Association for Dental Research conferences.

She then attended the Medical College of Georgia where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. While earning her doctorate degree, Dr. Vesper participated in numerous volunteer activities including the Georgia War Veterans “Dentists for Della” Project, Special Smiles at the Special Olympics, Christ Community Trunk or Treat, and dental mission work at La Fuente Clinic in Cusco, Peru. Dr. Vesper was honored with the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Academic Achievement Award and received the Emile T. Fisher Foundation Scholarship. She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry.

In her spare time, Dr. Vesper enjoys cheering on the Atlanta Falcons, catching shows at the Fox, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Tina Herington, DMD

Master, Academy of General Dentistry

Born in Decatur, Dr. Tina Herington is a Georgia native. She received her Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with Highest Honor from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in 2001.  She purchased this practice from Dr. Rowe in 2016.  She is not here practicing every day but is always involved at the leadership level.

Dr. Herington became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2008, and a Master in the Academy in June 2014.  The Mastership program required 5 years to complete and required peer-reviewed case presentations in all areas of dentistry.  Fewer than 1% of dentists ever achieve Mastership in the AGD!  Dr. Herington has also served as the Treasurer and Editor for the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry and a delegate to the national AGD meeting.

Dr. Herington also has earned a Commercial Pilot Certificate, Flight Instructor Certificate, and has been a part-time flight instructor since 1996. She is a member of the Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2007-08, and participates in the Brighter Smiles for Brighter Futures Campaign to raise money to support the fight against breast cancer.

In her spare time, she enjoys aviation, Taekwondo, reading, and spending time with her husband and two young sons.
